Primer- Nashville Makeup Artist

Primers are made for various parts of the face, but one that makes huge difference is eye primer. Since the trend this spring is bright colors on the eyes and lips, a primer is a must to ensure a great hold and true saturation. We all know the feeling of buying a vibrant color at the store, bringing it home to put it on AND!…… ugh. It doesn’t look the same. It’s muddy and dull. That’s because our eyelids are very thin and all the blood vessels that run through them create blues, greens, and purples underneath that mute the eye color. An eye primer neutralizes all those unwanted hues, giving a colorless surface for the eye shadow, leaving behind a true color. We’ve also had the issue of realizing at 3:00pm that our beautiful shimmery eye color we applied at 7:00am is now running down the corners of our eyes and clumped in the creases. Eye primer locks the color in, making sure it doesn’t budge all day. Suggestions- Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer or Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Apply before eyeshadow for vibrant, stay-put color.
