What’s not to love about Betsey Johnson’s hot pink, animal print, glittery duds? I had the privilege of working with some of Nashville’s best to create the makeup for this styled wedding full of color and fun. Hot pink shadow and lips, some yellow pops and some definite drama all graced these pretty faces. Enjoy!

This is Lis. And I had to share these images from Chris Scott. Not only is Lis gorgeous, but she has the MOST AMAZING hair. Chris Scott and I got together a few months ago to play around with some new product and lighting and created some of my favorite images of my entire career. I don’t really have much to say about them. We set out to create a very clean makeup look. I wanted to focus on the skin and use some new HD products I picked up at The Makeup Show. We did some bed head. And the following images are what came out of it. And I love every single bit of them.

Ok ladies. You know you want to. You’ve pondered it and chickened out a few times. Your man would love it, but you’re kinda nervous. Well, I am here to tell you to DO IT! A boudoir shoot! Boudoir shoots are totally different from any other time you’ll have your picture taken. First of all, it’s about YOU. You can wear what you’d like. You can be sexy, flirty, prissy, dainty, raunchy, anything you feel like! Forget your “I’ve got back fat”, “My lips are too small”, ” I have Frodo feet” silliness, because all that will fall to the side and you will finish your shoot feeling amazingly empowered. And how would I know? Because I’ve been there:

Chris and Adrienne Scott are absolutely incredible photographers & people and they are offering an amazing deal on a Flaunt Session Marathon this June. These shoots make great gifts for hubbies, fiances, boyfriends, or just to remind you of how awesome you are. And besides, I’m doing the makeup for this marathon! Valentines Day Winner!- Nashville Makeup Artist

I’m excited to share a few photos from this year’s Valentine’s Makeover Story photo shoot. Thanks to fiancé Scott Collier, bride-to-be Sarah Parker was treated to a photo shoot with the oh so classy Gregory Byerline complete with hair & make-up styling by me, plus a $200 gift certificate to Stacey Rhodes Boutique where Sarah selected a new dress to accompany her heels for the occasion.

First, the assignment was issued online to boyfriends, fiancés, and husbands to tell their love story and honor their loves by sharing what makes her irresistible and what makes her her, and we enjoyed reading through the submissions. Congratulations to Sarah & Scott for finding each other and for celebrating their love for this project. Cheers to the lovely couple as they wed later this year.

Sarah, like a lot of ladies, is not a big makeup wearer. So we wanted to make sure she looked like herself, just brighter and with a little pizzazz. I think bringing out her face shape and pulling that hair back gave her a very elegant look.

Occasionally I get together with my incredibly talented friend, Chris Scott, for some test shooting. He is a terrific creative match for me and I love every image we make together. He also happens to have a lovely office assistant, Jordan Bennett. Jordan is adorable and has gorgeous skin. So when I got a hold of her, I really wanted to focus on her cheeks. I gave Jordan a very clean look, using peachy apricot colors and very little on the eyes and lips. A braid was a cute way to keep the hair off her face but still frame it a bit.

Photo shoot number one from the promo video was a bridal session with Allee-Sutton a fantastic model that we know and love. And of course, our absolute loves, Chris and Adrienne Scott. It’s always a good time hanging with them and we got the most beautiful images. The dress came from none other than The Bride Room. And the to-die-for bouquet is all Brocade Designs. It was so hard to pick the ones to use in the video, so here are some that didn’t make it in, but had to be shown. Allee-Sutton is super fair, so we stuck with a clean skin and a soft silver eye. She has such a captivating presence, so really focusing on her eyes and keeping the rest of the face soft enables her to eat your soul with her stare. Love these.

Photo shoot #3 for the promo was done at the beautiful Icon in the Gulch by our new friend Daniel Meigs. He did a fantastic job of photographing gorgeous Ashlyn. Nia came up from Birmingham with some great wardrobe selections that really brought the shoot together. We had three looks. The first being more simple hair and makeup. The second added some bold color to the wardrobe, so we jazzed up her eye makeup and hair a bit. The final look was very bronze and gold makeup and tousled straight hair. Loves each one and I am so happy with how the images turned out. Thanks friends!
